Ingredients for the Yoda Rice Krispies Treats

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces (about 40) marshmallows
  • chocolate for melting (I used semi-sweet chocolate chips. You could use good tasting candy melts like Wilton dark cocoa candy melts or Ghirardelli dark chocolate melting wafers.)
  • crushed pistachios

How to Make the Pistachio and Chocolate Covered Rice Cereal Treats

This is your standard Rice Krispies treats recipe. In a large pot melt the butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Turn off the heat.

Add rice cereal and stir until marshmallows and cereal are well combined. Press the cereal mixture into a buttered baking dish or sheet pan. The larger the dish, the thinner the treats. Allow to cool.

Cut Yoda shapes out of the Rice Krispies treats. I drew my own stencil on parchment paper. You also could use a Yoda shaped cookie cutter.

Melt chocolate following package directions. I melted my semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave. Start with 30 seconds at a time and stir until melted.

Spread melted chocolate onto the Yoda shaped treats. Sprinkle with crushed pistachios.

And there you have our easy Yoda shaped pistachio and chocolate covered rice krispies treats.
