Super Hero Treasure Hunt for Toddlers

We love treasure hunts and scavenger hunts plus we love super heroes, so why not combine the two? This treasure hunt is very similar to our Farm Animal Treasure Hunt for Toddlers.

There are two ways you can play. With younger toddlers, you can hide the super heroes in plain sight. For older toddlers, you can hide them under things, behind things, or even inside things. I did a combination of these for Lily (20 months).

After introducing your child to the super heroes, hide the super heroes. We used the DUPLO super heroes from this Batman Adventure set (affiliate link). It comes with Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman.

I first placed Superman and Wonder Woman on the floor in the middle of the room while Lily was over doing something else. I asked Lily to find the super heroes. She ran over to them and grabbed them.

Too easy? Let’s try a new location. I placed Batman and Wonder Woman in the window. I asked Lily to find them. She looked around the room for a minute and spotted them right away.

Next, I hid Superman next to an ottoman. Lily looked around the room and found him, too.

For more of a challenge, I hid Wonder Woman and Superman in a bucket. It took Lily a little longer to find them. I had to help point her in the right direction. This is totally okay because you can work on listening skills and practice following directions.

Talk to your toddler about where the super heroes are located. Can you find Superman? He is under the chair. Can you find Wonder Woman? She is on top of the table. Do you see Batman? He is next to the couch. This is a great way to practice communication skills, vocabulary, and beginning observation skills.
