20+ Activities for Summer Fun with Dollar Tree

Activities for Summer Fun

I’m excited by all of the possible crafts and activities we can do with these products.

We can use the hula hoops to work on gross motor skills and jump from hoop to hoop or play lots of other games. Check out these 10 hula hoop games from Learners in Bloom.

We could also use hula hoops to sort things and work on classification. Two hula hoops would make a great Venn diagram.

With the water squirters, we could try a variation of our Name Practice Water Game.

The buckets would be great for making some grass castles, or we could use them in some simple outside water play.

Besides using pool noodles for play in the pool, we could cut them and use them to create a marble run like this great one from Inner Child Fun or race cars on them like Ramblings from Utopia.

Beach balls have lots of potential for learning games. Draw letters on them,  sight words {like at Kids Activities Blog}, or numbers. Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas uses catching the beach ball for an active family conversation game to share family memories.

And you can’t forget about the bubbles! They are fun just to take outside and use as expected, but I’m thinking we could also use the bubble solution for some density explorations. Will things float in the bubble solution that sink in water?
