Start by taking a look at the American Greetings “One-Stop Shop” at Walmart. You’ll most likely find the display in the special holiday aisles at the front of the store.

Look for the best mother’s day ever sign.

Check out all of the cards, gifts, and gift bags right there. I fell in love with this picture frame that says “The best moms get promoted to grandmas.” I think it’s just darling, and the picture that’s in it makes you want one of your own.

My mom is very special to me. I don’t take the time to tell her how much she means to me often enough. I wrote her a note 2 years ago to tell her just that. I was thinking of writing something similar this year, but that note still does a really good job of capturing how I feel.

Here’s just a portion of my Dear Mom note:

When I watch you with your grandchildren, I am taken back to my childhood, and I smile.

I remember playing outside while you and the other moms watched.

I remember bike rides, camping trips, beach trips, and road trips.

I remember rainy days and birthday parties and picnics.

I remember bedtime songs and good night kisses.

I have a lot of great memories with my mom that I will always treasure. To that end, I found the perfect card to give. One with a bicycle on it. We went on many family bike rides when I was a kid.

Aiden wanted to make something in addition to the gift above. He used watercolor pencils to create red flowers.

We glued each flower to a piece of foam. Add a magnet to the back and you have a super cute gift that takes all of 5 minutes to complete.

I also picked out a card for my mom from Aiden and Lily. And one for my mother-in-law from the kids. My husband gets to pick out his own card.
