Classroom Halloween Party Ideas

I asked my son’s teacher if she needed any more volunteers to help with the class parties. She said yes and asked if I was interested in leading the parties. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, I agreed. Are you in the same boat? I’ve searched the web and found these classroom Halloween party ideas that require minimal materials and minimal setup.

Classroom Halloween Party Ideas

Halloween Party Games

Roll a Pumpkin Drawing Game from Creations by Kara – I think this drawing game will work well at the beginning of the party. The kids can play the game individually while they make/eat their snack.

Spider Web Basket Fine Motor Game from The Imagination Tree – I saw this idea and fell in love. It only takes takes a few minutes of prep ahead of time. The goal of the game is to help the spiders catch their flies.

Halloween Eraser Stacking Challenge – This activity requires no prep. All you need is a big pile of erasers. I plan on sending the erasers home with the kids at the end of the party.

Cauldron Toss (or toss something into Halloween buckets) – Carnival Savers calls their version Witch’s Brew. Use mini cauldrons for this Pumpkin Toss Game from Playground Park Bench. One of the other parents volunteered to set ours up, so it’ll be cool to see what he comes up with.

Spider Races from Still Playing School – Whose spider will reach the finish line first?

Halloween Bingo from Crazy Little Projects – Print out the cards ahead of time and have a stash of candy corn ready to go.

Halloween Party Craft Ideas

Monster Paper Collage from Cutting Tiny Bites – With paper and wiggly eyes, making monsters couldn’t be easier.

Leaf Art – Use the pattern dice available from Rainy Day Mum or let the kids free draw. I’m going to try to preserve our leaves before the party.

I also thought the following crafts would be fun for the class Halloween party. The prep time for some of them is a little more than what I wanted this year, but I’m totally saving them for the future.

Craft Stick and Yarn Spider Web Craft from Buggy and Buddy – Make a cute little web for your spider.

Pom Pom Spider Craft from Learn Create Love – These tiny guys are just adorable.

Pipe Cleaner Pumpkins from PBS – A quick and simple 3D pumpkin craft that looks cool, too.

Pipe Cleaner Spider from Mama Miss – Download the spider body printable, make some slits, and insert the legs. Adding beads makes the craft even more fun. She Knows has a pipe cleaner spider that doesn’t require paper. You just twist the pipe cleaners to make the spider body.
