I have an affinity for cute mini erasers. This year Target’s dollar spot has adorable fox erasers in addition to other Christmas themed erasers. I grabbed a bag of the fox erasers along with some adorable stickers. I knew I was going to make some sort of game for my preschooler. I drew the winter math game board just so we could use the fox erasers. You can use anything as your playing piece really. Do you have a small polar bear toy or another character eraser? Or you could use LEGO brick or something similar.

You’ll also need a die. Roll the die to move your playing piece from iceberg to iceberg. This is a great way to practice subitizing (you look at the die and know how many dots are there without counting). It’s okay if your child needs to count the dots for now. The more she practices counting, the sooner she’ll be able to subitize.
