Virtual Book Club for Kids: March Author is Julia Donaldson

Last month was a huge month for the Virtual Book Club for Kids as we featured Dr. Seuss. March is National Reading Month, and we have something special planned. Lots of bloggers and authors are joining together for a series of live video chats to share creative reading ideas. We celebrated Read Across America Day on March 1st. We’ll be celebrating World Read Aloud Day, World Book Day, and more. I hope you’ll join us! With the focus on reading world wide, it’s fitting that Julia Donaldson is our author of the month for March.

Julia Donaldson

Julia Donaldson is a popular British writer probably best known for The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, and Stick Man. She has authored a large number of books, so you should find several that interest you and your child. We learned from the book jacket on Tabby McTat, the Musical Cat that Julia Donaldson used to be a busker. She and her husband played music in public places (street corners, etc.) for money. She then went on to become a successful songwriter, storyteller, and children’s book author.
