Saturday Morning Science: Get Outside
I’ve been racking my brain to come up with science activity I can post using my phone. I decided to write about what I would rather be doing this morning instead of being stuck in the hospital still. {Aiden’s fever is down so hopefully we can go home today.}
Get outside!
Go for a wagon ride.
Take some pictures.
Bundle up and play in the snow if you have it.
Go to the beach and enjoy the view.
Choose your favorite outdoor winter activity and do it!
Ready to add some science?
Making observations is great science skill for outside. Ask your little ones what they observe around them. What wildlife do you see? What trees or other plants are around? What else do you notice. Practice counting things or grab a ruler and measure something (quantitative observations). Describe the color or shape of things you see (qualitative observations).
Record your observations in a notebook. Draw pictures of what you see. Take pictures.
Will you go outside today?
