Are you looking for a simple Valentine’s Day card ideas? Try using some stickers! We really enjoyed making these robots and glitter Valentine’s Day cards for our family.
Robots and Glitter Valentine’s Day Card
We always love receiving a box of craft supplies from CraftProjectIdeas.com. Our most recent package contained glow in the dark robot stickers and glitter. Aiden wanted to immediately make something using these two items. I suggested Valentine’s Day cards. He liked the idea.
Here are the materials we used:
- Glow in the dark foam robot stickers {from CraftProjectIdeas.com}
- Glitter {we used glitter shakers sent by CraftProjectIdeas.com}
- Other foam stickers {we used some sent to us by Pom Tree Kids to go along with the playhouse}
- Glue
- Cardstock
- Markers
- Colored Pencils
- Heart cookie cutter
Fold a piece of cardstock in half to make your card. Decorate your card how you like. Aiden made two cards, and I made one.
He covered his first card with foam robots and added some decorative foam circles and hearts. He asked me to trace a heart onto the front of the card as well.
The inside of his card had more robots, a fried egg, a piece of fruit, and a letter. He traced the fruit and drew a circle around one robot.
That card wasn’t complete until it got a purple glitter covered heart and more foam circles on the back.
For Aiden’s second card, he focused the robots to the center of the card and added a red glitter covered heart to the front. The glitter in the shaker containers was different than other glitter we’d used.
This glitter was longer, so it came out of the shaker much more slowly. It was easy to control how much glitter to add.
Here’s the inside of his second card. In addition to robots, it has a fried egg, a beach ball, and a lady beetle.
For my card, I envisioned two robots greeting each other and showing some sign of affection. Hearts represent what they are saying.
The inside of the card reads, “That’s how robots say ‘I love you!’ Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Simple cards and such a great way to spend some time crafting with my son.
