Nature Camp Live
Starting in June, I’m leading a live, virtual nature camp. I want your kids (ages 5-11) to join me for an awesome week of nature fun.
What Is Nature Camp Live?
Each camp session is one week long. We’ll meet each day for one hour on Zoom. I’ll start with a warm-up activity to get us going. Then, we’ll read a story based on the day’s theme.
Next, I will introduce the theme with a short demonstration and lesson. Live animals will join us on 3 of the camp days.
Then, campers will engage in two interactive or hands-on activities. These activities involve STEM skills, art, and learning about the day’s nature theme.
You’ll also receive instructions for a bonus activity based on the day’s theme. This is an activity that campers can do at home with their parents.
Nature Camp Themes
Here’s what the schedule will look like for Nature Camp:
Monday: Animal Habitats
Tuesday: Birds
Wednesday: Flowers
Thursday: Insects
Friday: Conservation
Campers will be involved and engaged through their camp experience.
What Do I Need for Camp?
We’ll be using Zoom for camp sessions so you’ll need a computer with internet access and a free Zoom account. You’ll also need a webcam if you want me to be able to see you.
You’ll need a few basic supplies (like paper, markers, and child-safe scissors) to join in. A full materials list will be provided after registration.
Some campers may need assistance with some of the activities, so having an adult on standby would be helpful.
What Is the Cost of the Camp?
Cost is $50 per weekly session.
Camp Dates
June 22nd – 26th (afternoon session only – 4pm Central time)
July 13th – 17th (Choose from the morning session – 10am Central time or the afternoon session – 4pm Central time.)
