Leaf Art

Here is an idea that Aiden and I had today.  While out walking, Aiden starting picking up leaves.  We placed them in the “trunk” of the little car he was riding on (well sometimes riding on – I had to carry it for part of the time).  When we returned home, I got out some paper, crayons, and some tape.

Aiden colored the paper.  I folded up pieces of tape, and Aiden placed them on the paper.  We put the leaves on top of the tape.  We had some acorns from a previous outing (Aiden loves to collect things when we go outside.), so we added some acorns to the picture.  I had a pile of coffee filters from when Aiden “helped” unpack the box that contained them.  They were ruined for making coffee but they were still great for turning into art.  I wadded it up into what sort of resembles a flower and taped it to the paper.  It looked a little better before Aiden rearranged it, but it is his art project after all.

Have fun creating with your little one!
