I Love…

There are so many things that I love about being a mom.

I love smiles and laughter.
Hugs and kisses.
Cuddles and snuggles.

I heart excited greetings – you know the ones. When you walk in the room, your little one runs up to you and says, “Hi Mama!” like you’re the most awesome thing in the world.

I love watching Aiden grow up.
The firsts – the first words, the first steps, the first time he did anything.
The seconds and thirds.

I love the way Aiden answers questions with “no” or “sure.”

I love watching Aiden play with his daddy.
The tickles, the giggles, the chases, the hide and seek games.

I love how he has his own little way of doing things.
His own little names for things.
His routines.

I love how he always has to take something with him when we leave the house.
A ball, a toy car, a stuffed bunny or frog.

I love how he points out every airplane,
every butterfly, every frog, every dog noise.
How he notices the sun is bright
and the moon is in the sky.

I love how he puts on his hats,
how he wears his daddy’s hats,
and his daddy’s shoes.

I love watching him learn.
I love how smart he is.
Each day he gets smarter and can do something new.

I love reading to Aiden.
I love it when Aiden reads to me.
(He says his letters or tells me about the characters on the page.)

I love how he says, “maymen” after we say our prayers.
I love that he knows the name of Jesus
and recognizes Him in pictures (thanks to the children’s bible).

I love playing with him.
I love creating with him.
I love loving him.

I LOVE being a mom.
