Glow in the Dark Polka Dot Painted Pumpkins
My son loves pumpkins and he loves painting. This is the perfect time of year to combine the two loves. Let’s make them extra special painted pumpkins and create some glow in the dark polka dot pumpkins.
Glow in the Dark Polka Dot Painted Pumpkins
Aiden chose two small pumpkins – one yellow and one orange. Then, he covered the pumpkins with dot stickers {the same ones we used for our Ten Black Dots activities}.
We painted the pumpkins with washable paint. Aiden chose to paint one pumpkin red and the other one purple.
Then, we peeled the stickers off. Our stickers were actually pretty hard for Aiden to remove. I had to use my fingernails to scrape the stickers off. Aiden peeled off most of the stickers on the purple painted pumpkin. As you can see, lots of the paint was smeared. Maybe we should have waited for the paint to dry before removing the stickers? I thought the stickers would be easier to remove with the paint still wet…
We waited for our pumpkins to completely dry before painting the polka dots.
Next, we painted the polka dots. CraftProjectIdeas.com sent us some Glow Glitter Glue.
The Glow Glitter Glue made for fun sparkly glitter polka dots during the daylight.
And nice glow in the dark polka dots at night.
Cute little polka dot painted pumpkins – such a fun craft for kids.
