Penguin Themed Alphabet Writing and Matching
I made this activity for my preschooler to practice writing letters. Each cute little penguin in holding a letter.
Encourage your child to trace the letters. I recommend choosing just a handful of letters to work on at a time. Use this as a practice activity after you’ve already introduced some of the letters.
We’ve been using the Wet Dry Try app from Learning Without Tears to introduce letter formation. You use your finger to create the letters on the app. (I believe you can also use a stylus.)
I wanted to give Elon some real world practice with a pencil, too. Writing on paper with a pencil is a lot different than writing on an iPad.
After your child has traced the letters, have her match the penguins to the icebergs. Here we’re working on matching lowercase letters to uppercase letters.
You can also practice letter sounds as your child is matching the letters.
