Counting with Dr. Seuss Stamps
Are you looking for easy Dr. Seuss inspired ideas? Use a set of Dr. Seuss stamps to practice counting and number recognition. I created a free printable to use in the activity. Amazon affiliate links are included in this post.
Counting with Dr. Seuss Stamps
I found this stamp set at the Target dollar spot. If you can’t find the stamps at your Target, you could always use some Dr. Seuss stickers like this Dr. Seuss sticker book from Amazon. Or you can use Dr. Seuss erasers (they were at the Target dollar spot, too).
Inside each large circle, I added a number of small circles. The Dr. Seuss stamps fit perfectly inside. The small circles are 1 inch in diameter. The goal is to stamp the correct number of stamps inside the large circle based on the number outside. The small circles make sure you are stamping the correct number. (Would you prefer to have the printable without the small circles? Let me know.) Counting with Dr. Seuss stamps is so much fun!
As Lily (almost 3) stamped the Dr. Seuss stamps inside the circles, we counted them. We also talked about the numbers outside the circle and how they corresponded with the number of stamps inside. “What number is this? This is the number 5. How many stamps are inside the circle?”
Download the counting with Dr. Seuss stamps printable for your personal or classroom use. (Non-commercial use only.) The PDF has circles for the numbers 1-10.
I have more uses for these stamps, so stay tuned!
