DC Comics and Big G Cereal Present #SuperHeroing with the JUSTICE LEAGUE

Like many children, Cheerios was the first whole cereal my son ate. He’s now 4 and his love for the cereal continues. He was excited to try out the Honey Nut Cheerios™ and Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ that Big G sent us and was equally excited to find super heroes on the box.

The back of the boxes invite you to join the JUSTICE LEAGUE by wearing costume pieces from the various super heroes. Aiden happily dressed up as Green Lantern and SUPERMAN™. He struck a #SuperHeroing pose for the camera.

The Super Hero Story Continues

#SuperHeroing with DC Comics and Big G Cereals

The special comic books have an activity for kids to do in the back of the comic. Kids can be part of the JUSTICE LEAGUE by helping the Super Heroes solve a word search, maze, connect the dots, or other activity. Then, they can head to the Big G Cereal Heroes website to read part 2 of the story.

Our Conversation About Super Heroes

Aiden: I wish I was a real super hero.
Me: What does a super hero do?
Aiden: Catch bad guys.
Me: What else does a super hero do?
Aiden: Help people.
Me: Is there a way you can help people now?
Aiden: I can help you clean up!
Me: That would be very helpful. Let’s pretend to be super heroes while we clean up toys.
Aiden: OK!

Aiden helped me clean up the toys in the living room all the while pretending to be a super hero.

A Super Simple Super Hero Game

On the back of the Honey Nut Cheerios™, there is a BATMAN™ grappling hook. Of course we needed a target for the grappling hook. We built towers out of Styrofoam and placed cardboard tube villains on top of them. The goal is to knock off the cardboard tube villains with the grappling hook. This proved to be a fun game.

Aiden also added in the BATMAN™ car Big G sent us. You shake the car and then it rolls on its own. The car knocked over the tower and all of the bad guys tumbled down.

Aiden then drew “bad guy” faces on the Styrofoam blocks. He set these up and tried to knock them over with the grappling hook. The knocked over bad guys then went to jail.
