Snoopy’s Favorite Colors

Yes, it's well used (and chewed on).

Lately Aiden has been requesting to read a tiny board book called My Favorite Colors by Snoopy.  The first two pages are red.  The left page says RED.  The right page has a picture of Snoopy’s red doghouse.  The next page has a picture of Snoopy.  The text reads WHITE.  You meet YELLOW Woodstock.  You see Snoopy inside an ORANGE pumpkin.  Then, you see Linus with his BLUE blanket.  Next, you meet Sally with PINK hearts.  Woodstock carries a PURPLE flower.  Last, Snoopy paints with all of the colors.  It could take under a minute to read this book with its one word per page.  However, Aiden and I relish every page.  We talk about every detail on the page including the colors.  I mention the character names, what they are doing, and what sounds they make.  We point to body parts and count the numbers of things (hearts, flower petals, colors).  I’m not sure why Aiden chooses this book, but I enjoy reading it again and again.  It helps develop my story telling skills.
