Picture Books about Friendship

In honor of Friendship Week at the MeMeTales Readathon, I put together a list of picture books about Friendship.

At MeMeTales, there are the three books available this week to read for free.

I talked about Arthur yesterday {and we made no bake dog treats to give to our K-9 friend}.

Here are Aiden’s top 3 favorite friendship book series.

A Splendid Friend Indeed by Suzanne Bloom.  An adorable story of a goose who appears to bothering a polar bear that is busy reading, writing, and thinking.  In the end, the goose wins over the polar bear by writing him a kind note.  I just found out that there are a series of Bear and Goose books, too!  We’ll be checking out the sequels.

Any of the Bear books by Karma Wilson.  These books are about the adventures of Bear and his friends.  They are written in a memorable rhythmic style.  Aiden loves to finish the lines of the book.  We enjoy reading these books over and over again.

Any Elephant and Piggie book by Mo Willems.  Gerald and Piggie are best friends, so it’s no surprise that these books are filled with examples of how to be a friend.
