Do you make the effort to get outside every day with your kids?
What obstacles stand in your way?

I think it’s important to spend time with our children outside so they can have an appreciation for the world around them.

Need ideas for playing outside with your kids?
Here are my top 5:
- Search for animals and their homes.
- Go collect rocks or other nature objects (leaves, flowers, acorns…)
- Play in the wind. Make ribbon sticks or parachutes.
- Play in the dirt.
- Go for a walk – no need to have any other intentions. Just walk around the neighborhood or park. You can talk about what you see and make observations as you go.

that’s a darling photo! i love that little scrunched up nose! we’ve done quite a few scavenger hunts (more photo hunts lately). Bear loves them, too!

Thanks, Andie! I wonder if there are any kids {or adults for that matter} who don’t like scavenger hunts. I’m having just as much fun as Aiden on this one. I ask him, “Want to see what we’re supposed to find on our scavenger hunt today?” He screams, “Yes!!” And we head out the door.
