Did you know that 1 out of every 88 eight year olds in the US are diagnosed with autism?

This is based on a monitoring study done by the CDC in 2008.  You can read more about the findings at Autism Speaks or from the CDC.

The goal of Autism Awareness Month is to shine a light on
the increasing prevalence of autism;
the need for continued research on causes, prevention, treatment, and a cure;
the importance of early diagnosis and intervention;
and the celebration of the talents and skills of people with autism.

Do what you can to spread the message and show your support!
